Microsoft does it again!

I just let windows do its live update on one of our PC's and low and behold another piece of software stopped working. Fortunately I was able to find a suitable alternative to the original program because even if I unistalled and reinstalled the damn thing would not run. So thanks Mr Gates for your wonderful operating system that requires megabytes of updates almost weekly to keep the bad guys out and thanks for all the times I have had to reformat and reinstall programs . I am sure it has occupied weeks of my time over the years!

My Cycling Goals into 2010

Over the past couple of years I have been gradually building my base capacity to ride longer distance events and ride them more frequently. I have progressed from an annual goal of riding one 200+K event (Around the Bay in a Day) per year to the last few months where I have ridden 7 200k brevets and a 300k. I have also completed  2 600K events - The Great Southern Randonee last October and The Southern 600 at Heywood in March this year. I now intend to step up to the serious distances of 1000k  and 1200k in the upcoming Audax season. My target events are the Western Districts Wanderer 1000 in April and the Perth Albany Perth 1200 in October. I'll also look to get in a few 600's as well in 2010. Before this season ends at the end of this month I am aiming to add to my current 22 200k+ events this season by attempting the Vic Gran Tourissimo Series. This is a Super Series (600,400,300 &200K rides) in a week. It will be my biggest cycling challenge to date and I am not sure how I will fair. Fingers crossed.
